1954 TOJEIRO BUTTERWORTH BARCHETTA

Chassis No: TAD/3/54
Commissioned by Ronald Palmer in 1952, he used a Tojeiro chassis equipped with a 1,500cc flat four-cylinder air-cooled engine built by Archie James Butterworth and fitted with twin Solex carburettors. Mated to an MG TD 4-speed gearbox, drum brakes and sliding block de-Dion back axle. It is sold with a very large file of original letters of correspondence between Palmer, Tojeiro and Butterworth; original bills and insurance invoices, articles from Motorsport magazines, articles from the Tojeiro’s book, photos and much more.
