1933 SUNBEAM 25 LIMOUSINE
ESTIMATE £20,000 - £22,000 
Chassis number: 8014S - The Sunbeam Twenty Five was introduced in 1933 as the top of the range model with a price tag starting at £875 it was beyond the reach of all but the wealthiest motorists, one noteworthy owner at the time was HRH The Duke of Gloucester. Considering that an Austin Seven at the same time would have cost £105 lets us understand the exclusivity of these cars. The 25HP was noted for its smoothness and excellent power, with a top speed in its day of almost 80mph. Documentation within the history file records this particular car as being the only factory built example to be fitted with a "Governess" Four Light Limousine body featuring two folding seats behind a glass division and with neither a luggage compartment or rack, this configuration gave greater privacy to rear seat passengers than the Six Light model. Record shows that the car initially left Sunbeam's Wolverhampton factory on June 20th 1933 with a Chassis Number of 8011R, but the cars order was cancelled in the name of "The Clyde Automobile Company Ltd of Glasgow" and the car ultimately did not leave the Factory until September 28th 1933 with a renumbered Chassis as 8014S and was delivered to "The Clyde Automobile Co Ltd of Glasgow" and first registered
