Now an extremely rare model (due to ‘tin worm’ and banger racers!), this Cresta E has survived well; the care and attention of previous owners has clearly paid off. The bodywork and underside are described as good and we understand that a respray was carried out in 1994, but does now have some imperfections (an honest vendor - the best sort!). The brightwork and original chrome are also said to be good and while the interior has been freshened up with new carpets, the original headlining is excellent and the rear seat is in good order. The front seats could be improved on and the clock does not work at present, but all other instrumentation is in functioning order. The original type tyres are fitted with white walls.
Mechanically, we are told that there are no issues: the brakes have been overhauled and the engine has had a recent rebuild. The Cresta runs well and is apparently lovely to drive; believed to be one of just six survivors, it is a sight to behold.
The history file includes images and three note books that previous owners have filled with notes on maintenance, together with invoices, the V5C registration certificate and continuous MOT test certificates to confirm the low mileage.
