1971 BSA 650cc THUNDERBOLT
(Registered 1972)
Reg. no. MPG 72L
Frame no. HE11819
Engine no. HE11819
The Thunderbolt was manufactured in Small Heath, Birmingham by BSA from 1962-72. It was the single carburettor version of their unit construction parallel twin models, but the model still produced 46bhp and it was capable of over 100mph. Towards the end of production, it suffered from the rising popularity of the Japanese Superbikes, such as the Honda CB 750cc, and the Thunderbolt\'s popularity waned. This Thunderbolt is said, by its owner, to be in good all round condition; it received a full engine rebuild in 1996. Within the file, there are lots of invoices supporting work carried out over the years, a current MOT that expires in May 2019 and a V5c.
Extra details and estimates:
£6,000 - 7,000
