1963 HILLMAN MINX Mk V
A 1963 Hillman Minx Mk V, registration number BHU 548A, coffee and cream. Prior to our vendor purchasing this Hillman in September 2014, the previous keeper bought the car from a Charterhouse classic car auction in November 201. Before this, the car was family owned from new by a father and son. The original owner, Mr R B Sharp, purchased the Minx from Cathedral Garage, Bristol. Mr Sharp Senior would use the car as his daily transport until 1992 when the Hillman ownership passed to Mr Sharp Junior, who garage stored the car. Due to the car's 21 year hibernation, it required re-commissioning which the previous keeper undertook, including replacing the clutch, overhauling the brakes and general servicing. Our vendor, who fitted the stainless steel exhaust, has used the Hillman sparingly to attend classic car shows and will be offered for auction with a history file. V5C, MOT to February 2019, tax-exempt Please note the description has been amended as an owner had been omitted from the vehicle's history.
