1985 RELIANT SCIMITAR SS1

Registration Number: C102 WNX

The Scimitar as the very last production car designed by Giovanni Michelotti, also famed for designs of Ferrari, Lancia and Maserati. A total of just 1507 were produced between 1984 and 1990. This vehicle has had just 2 owners from new, the first who purchased the car new in October 1985 and sold it when retiring in 2017. The odometer is showing just 16,450 miles from new, which it is believed is genuine, however, the history was unfortunately lost.

Powered by a 1296cc Ford CVH unit and sharing many components with production cars of that day such as Austin- Rover. The SS1 is one of the most affordable small sports convertibles on the market today with low running costs and readily available parts. Possibly the only remaining SS1 showing such low mileage and complete with rare hardtop. Does not come with a hood.

Auctioneers note A quirky car not without appeal. How many can you find in this condition? What a shame the history has got lost. These are quick little cars capable of reaching a ton.
