1970 DNEPR (COSSACK) K750
Chassis No: 56887
Engine No: 24983
Chassis No: 56887

Russian infiltration of the decadent west began long before Mr Putin came on the scene, as witnessed by this 1970 Dnepr K750 sidecar outfit. Sold in this country as a Cossack (easier to pronounce) and made in Kiev at the Kyivskyi Motosykietnyi Zavod (not so easy to pronounce).
In fact, this Dnepr is a recent Polish import and is still on Polish plates. It comes with Polish paperwork, which will stretch those of you who didn’t do Polish at school, but it shouldn’t be hard to find someone who did. The bike will need registering in this country.
There is no history with the bike but it has been restored to some degree and has a certain rugged charm in its mock military persona (the machine gun is a fake, sorry). The vendor tells us that the bike runs well and even has a reverse gear. It would make an ideal European touring mount, but if you want to have real fun with it try parking it outside GCHQ headquarters in Cheltenham
