TODAY WE FEATURE
RICHARD EDMONDS AUCTIONS
ALLINGTON, nr CHIPPENHAM, WILTSHIRE SN14 6L
SATURDAY 14th APRIL 2018
1956 TRIUMPH TRW 500cc
Reg. no. 244 XUP
Frame no. 25113NA
Engine no. TRW25113NA
The TRW was designed for the War Department in 1943, but by the time it went into production the war was over. Triumph were stuck with large numbers of TRWs, so in 1948 they set about selling them, not only to our Army and RAF but armies throughout the world; it was also sold as a civilian model. This TRW is said to have been restored some years ago and it is still in good overall condition, however it will need re-commissioning following a period of dry storage. Our vendor advises that there is a strong spark but the carburettor will require servicing. The bike is sold with an original user handbook, an original parts list and a reproduction technical handbook in addition to a current V5c.
