This rare bike is a Kawasaki Z1000, first registered in July 1989, which has been prepared to American police specification. It is the exact spec of the police bikes used in the US TV series of "Chips" the same as the California Highway Patrol bikes of the day. It was bought by rock legend Jay Kay of Jamiroquai back in March 2012 from the fellow enthusiast, motorcycle legend, and ex-Grand Prix racer - Steve Parrish. (full details in the history file)
Since then, it has seen very little use and mainly been on display at his home with various other pieces of Americana, including the Dodge Charger offered elsewhere in this Sale. Offered at "No Reserve", it represents an excellent collectors opportunity to acquire a rare version of a true classic motorcycle - the Z1000 Kawasaki - which was one of the first real 'Superbikes' ever made.
