1963 JAGUAR Mk X (MOD)
A 1963 Jaguar Mk X manual overdrive saloon, registration number 7219 WK, chassis number 353254, engine number ZB 3123-8, Opalescent dark green. This Mk X Jaguar is fitted with the very rare and desirable manual overdrive gearbox. It was first registered on 18th December 1963 with the distinctive Coventry registration 7219 WK, with the first recorded keeper being Publipen Ltd, 149 Commercial Road, London E1. The Jaguar is presented in a distinguished Opalescent dark green with a contrasting black leather interior and sits on steel wheels. The Jaguar has been restored previously and there are receipts on file for a reconditioned cylinder head (£2,040 in 2011) and body work refurbishment (£3,100 in 2007) by XJ Restoration plus numerous other receipts for works carried out. The Jaguar is offered with a history file with numerous receipts, past MOTs and correspondence. In summing up this Mk X was registered to a company which was in the thick of London’s East End when London was swinging and the Krays and the Richardsons ruled the streets, and who can say if this large and imposing Jaguar did not see a little of that gangster style. RF60, V5C, MOT TBA, tax exempt
